Life in Turkey for a foreigner

Studying in Turkey

My name is Anzhela. I'm from Kazakhstan. I am 24 years old. 2 years ago I came to Turkey on the scholarship program of Turkey. I study at the Ankara University in the doctorate PhD , the specialty of New Turkish. This program is widespread all over the world and helps people to get higher education. The conditions of this program are provided flight, place of residence (dorm), two meals a day, medical insurance, fare benefits and a scholarship. What could be better? Upon completion of training you must return to your country. In my case, I think to return and become a teacher at Astana University to teach the Turkish language, where I graduated from the Bachelor's and Master's programs.

Ankara University
In my blog, I want to tell you what it is like to be a foreigner in Turkey. Every week I will share small stories on a specific topic about my life and life in Turkey as a whole. So, let's go ....

Today I want to talk about the education system in Turkey. Many foreigners choose  Turkey, when choosing a place of study. Higher education in Turkey has such advantages:
-Studying goes according to European standards
-Turkish diplomas are recognized all over the world
- Studying in the university in terms of payment is quite affordable

All universities in Turkey, public and private, paid, however the prices in them are different, so you can find the right university for yourself.
In total, there are 146 universities in Turkey, and one third are private organizations.
All universities use a standard studying system. Which consists of three stages:
1. Bachelor's program
2. Magistrature
3. Doctorate PhD

In order to become a freshman, it is necessary to pass the exam test, since there are a lot of people who want to study, and there are not enough places for people from other countries, therefore, in order for you to be enrolled, you need to show your knowledge at a high level. A necessary condition for submitting documents to the university is a certificate of knowledge of the Turkish language.

But, if you are a foreigner who dreams of getting an education in Turkey, I advise you to read about the program that I came to. Good luck to all. https://www.turkiyeburslari.gov.tr/en/turkiye-burslari/
